Social Media Trends: Spring Collection 2021

It’s nothing new that social media trends are emerging, growing, and evolving every day. So as business owners and entrepreneurs it’s crucial to stay on top of trends, algorithms, and constant changes in the social ‘sphere. Let’s dive into our predictions for Spring trends this season.


Influence Marketing: Influence marketing is getting more sophisticated and robust. Micro-influencers are getting more and more brand deals! Why? Because brands are going to move from using celebrity endorsements for their marketing tactics, to more User-Generated Content (USG). Marketing agencies are looking out for creators who are going to be future micro-influencers. The strategy is to grab them early knowing the opportunities and exposure will keep flowing in (plus their audience already trusts them for a specific reason – we’re in!). Brands choose strategically when picking influencers – they look at the data on creators when their following is smaller but predicted to blow up in the future (AKA and blow up the brand’s product with it).

Short-form Video Content: Tiktok and Instagram’s Reels features are projecting that short-form video content is only getting more popular. I can see all of the business owners and entrepreneurs sinking in their seats with the thought that “I have to be on camera ..more than I already am?” Hate to break to to you, but video is here to stay. Not only are short-form videos easy to watch, consume and share, with the switch to social distancing rules and employees working from home – people are consuming and creating content more than ever before! A short-form video is going to keep you ahead of the game for your social media marketing efforts. Let’s keep it rolling …

Content for a Cause – the world has increased its focus on social, political, and environmental issues throughout 2020(and keep it pouring into 2021). Many brands are now taking action and standing up for what they believe in on social media and throughout their content to make a positive impact on society. Sharing your support, awareness, inspiration, and information for a cause as a brand, not only shows your audience you care but also makes you more memorable for being mission-driven.
